The new John Green book has arrived and I can’t believe how many students have been asking about it. I think this has been the most anticipated book in my library.

In the past 2 weeks in my Library there has been a big interest in the author John Green’s work  Looking for Alaska, Paper Towns, An Abundance of Katherines. What finally peaked my interest and started me asking why was the fact that all 3 books had been signed out by boys. Why, why has John Green sparked the interest in these young men? Well apparently Vlog Brothers is why.

Vlog Brothers is a YouTube Channel created by John Green and his brother Hank. Here is how they describe what they do;

Nerdy to the Power of Awesome
 Hank and John Green are nerdy brothers who make videos. Really, it’s not about anything in particular. Whether we’re talking about our lives, making each other laugh, or trying to get something more important across, people seem to enjoy it.
With video commentaries like You CAN Judge a Book by its Cover! and Why are Barns Red and Kardashians Famous you will be enlighten and have a good chuckle at the same time. The Vlog Brothers have reached out to the nerdiverse and as a result have a very big following. As an author John Green not only writes great books but he has proven that you can use all the social media to your advantage and be very successful, he has 1,166,121 followers just on his TwitterReal John Green.
